Roof Replacement Cost Calculator

Turn your selected roof quantities and local quotes into a transparent cost worksheet without blending competing scopes.

Roof replacement cost estimate

Build an auditable itemized roof-replacement worksheet or enter one exclusive contractor all-in quote. Rates are your local supplier or contractor inputs.

Estimate mode

Modes are exclusive. An all-in quote replaces, rather than adds to, material, labor and service lines.

Itemized roof scopes

Select exactly the scopes your quote covers. Covering alternatives are mutually exclusive: include panels or shingles, not both. Mark each selected quantity as net need or the already rounded ordered/purchased amount; its rate must use the same basis.

Estimated total: $1600.00

Net quantities are the measured or derived need; ordered/purchased quantities are what the selected seller actually supplies after its stock, pack, minimum-order or cut-length rounding. This worksheet accepts the quantity you enter—it does not invent a package rule. Excluded scopes are not free and blank prices are incomplete/unpriced, never $0. Ridge material belongs in the trim scope. Tax, permits, structural work, design and undisclosed quote exclusions remain outside this estimate unless you explicitly enter a compatible line.

Warnings
  • Blank prices are unpriced and do not contribute zero to the estimate.
  • Ridge material is included in the trim scope and is not separately counted.
  • Metric tonnes and US short tons remain distinct price bases.

How it works and assumptions

Choose itemized scopes when you have compatible quantities and quotes. Mark every other scope as excluded so the estimate states its boundaries. Choose the all-in mode only for a contractor’s complete quote; it deliberately replaces the itemized lines.

Enter quantities on the same basis as each price. Net need, ordered quantity and purchased quantity can differ when a supplier sells whole packs, cut lengths or minimum orders, so retain that supplier rule beside your quote. Use the Roof Fasteners & Itemized Replacement Estimates guide to keep independent worksheets and an all-in quote from being treated as one transfer or exporter.

Worked example

An illustrative roof worksheet prices 10 panels at $50, two underlayment rolls at $80, four trim pieces at $25, four fastener packs at $10 and 40 m² of labor at $20/m². Its $1,600 subtotal is a math example only—not a local price, scope or product recommendation.
