How It Works

This calculator estimates crushed stone volume and weight for construction base layers, drainage, driveways, and landscaping. Select the stone type to get accurate density-based weight calculations.

How to Use

  1. Enter area: Measure the area in square meters (length × width).
  2. Enter depth: Depth of the crushed stone layer in millimeters. Common depths: 75–200mm for base layers.
  3. Select stone type: Choose limestone (1.5 t/m³), granite (1.65 t/m³), or recycled concrete/RCA (1.45 t/m³).
  4. Set waste factor: 10% is standard for aggregate to account for spillage.
  5. Read results: Volume in m³ (or yd³) and weight in kg (or lbs).

Weight: Volume (m³) × Stone Density (t/m³)
